An elegant small modernised C17^th  French Chateau with swimming pool in a secluded Dordogne hamlet, available for rent in the holiday season.

 We ourselves live here  for about four months of the year so it is a lived in family house and not solely a renting operation.  When the house is rented we are generally in England and so not breathing down your necks to see that you behave! However, we are at the end of a telephone if help is needed.  The nearest ferry ports to the Chateau are (links show routes and maps from Michelin) Caen or St Malo, Le Havre is a little further while Calais/Feraillou is 530 miles, involves skirting Paris (not so very difficult) and costs about £25 in motorway fees.

There are two bicycles at our holiday home and ample garden furniture.  Golf, fishing, tennis, riding (mountain bike and horses) and canoeing are all within easy reach.  All  linen is provided and gas, electricity and reasonable telephone calls are included in the rent.  Babysitting and extra maid services can be arranged if desired.
